Awesome, But Impractical
New year, new brews.
Just like 2018, Neshaminy Creek is going to release over 20 Seasonal and Limited beers over the next 12 months; some of them for the first time in widespread distribution outside our Tap Room and Borough Brewhouse locations, some for the first time ever. All will be release in half and sixtel draft kegs, and more than half of them will be released in 16 or 12 ounce can cases.
MUDBANK MILK STOUT our perennial Winter favorite, shipped to our wholesale partners earlier this month in draft and 16 ounce can cases. Our next Seasonal release will be AWESOME, BUT IMPRACTICAL, our Black Lager, or Schwarzbier, available for the first time in widespread draft distribution through our wholesale distribution partners, as well as for the first time ever in cans this coming Thursday, January 24th starting at 5PM in our Croydon Tap Room and Jenkintown Borough Brewhouse.
Of course, all 10 of you out there are going to get excited about a Black Lager, but that’s OK. We didn’t brew it for you, we brewed it for us. Why else would we? This beer isn’t dripping with sticky hop goodness, so more than likely you’re going to breeze right past this post and not give a damn. But you should. You really should.
Clean and balanced, Awesome, But Impractical’s dark black hue gives way to notes of toasted bread crumbs, toffee, and hints of roasted coffee all with a restrained hop bitterness and smooth medium body. Subtle roast on the backend dries out and begs for another round. At 4.6% ABV, you’ll be able to go toe to toe with a few as well.
Very limited cases available, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Once again, amazing artwork from our all-around artwork badass, JP Flexner, bringing the nerd-art-life full circle again. $9 a four-pack, $48 a case, no limits.
The long Winter days may be getting shorter, but it’s still dark on the horizon.
