Craft Beer Spotlight: Suburban Restaurant and Beer Garden
Suburban Restaurant and Beer Garden in the Eagleview neighborhood of Exton is a dream come true for craft beer lovers, and for those who demand to know just exactly where their food is coming from. The bar proudly touts a constantly rotating list of 24 taps, an expansive craft can list, and a wide selection of small-batch spirits, all of which are brewed and distilled in the great state of Pennsylvania. The owner, Chef Eric Yost, is a West Chester native and Johnson & Wales graduate, whose resume consists of some of the areas best restaurants, before working as a private chef, opened Suburban in March 2017. He has been proud to build upon the relationships he’s made with local farmers, brewers, distillers, and artisans, and bring those names to the forefront of his concept.
The menu at Suburban is farm-focused and seasonally changing. Menu options vary from snacks and bar fare (see: Fried Devilled Eggs, Cheese Curds from September Farms) to handmade pastas (Spicy Lamb Bolognese, Beef Stroganoff) to inventive entrees that will make any night out special.
Upon entering Suburban, guests have the option to choose from two distinct dining styles. On one side, the Beer Garden, has communal, handcrafted wooden tables, a large bar, and a lively atmosphere. On the other, the Farmer’s Room at Suburban allows you to enjoy a more intimate dining style, in a beautifully decorated room, with a smaller, more cozy bar.
