Craft Beer Spotlight – Blend Bar & Bistro

Blend is not a dive, not a cocktail lounge, not a club. It’s a bar – a  bar serving small dishes and good drinks to enjoy in the company of
friends, good music, or a game.  The concept of Blend Bar & Bistro is social activity, joy, fun, and interaction.

Blend in Hamilton Township, NJ just turned 4 years old last month and has quickly established itself as a staple in the New Jersey craft beer community.  With a beer portfolio that features 22 taps – including 17 that constantly rotate – and an eclectic selection of over 150 different bottles and cans for either dine-in or take-out, there’s something for everyone.  There is a major focus on the ideas “support local” and “drink local”, and that shows in everything; the beer list, the artwork on the walls, some of the food items, the musicians that are featured, and more.  And of course, this includes a long-running working relationship with Neshaminy Creek, whose beers you can always find on the takeout shelves and rotating frequently through the tap lines.

Blend is also the team behind the Central Jersey Beer Festival, which happens annually every October at the Festival Grounds at Mercer County Park.  What started as a Blend anniversary celebration has turned into a much bigger gathering.  This year around 3,000 attendees enjoyed a great day that featured 70+ breweries, 175+ beers, a cash bar, over a dozen food trucks/vendors, live music, and much, much more.
