Craft Beer Spotlight – Carson Street Deli
CARSON STREET DELI – PITTSBURGH, PA
The Carson Street Deli is a South Side Pittsburgh staple that’s been slinging sandwiches for over 15 years, but it wasn’t till recently that they started focusing on craft beer. They quickly became one of the most notable craft beer establishments in the Steel City, and current owner, Mike Murphy can be found quite frequently sipping on a local Pittsburgh brew or drinking a Neshaminy Creek J.A.W.N Pale Ale at the bar!
The Carson Street Reuben and The Balboa are the Deli’s two most popular sandwiches, The Balboa having been named Best Italian Sandwich in Pittsburgh by many food and news blogs. Focusing mostly on local drafts and a great bottle selection, they have become a beer destination for locals and out-of-towners. Neshaminy Creek Brewing is new to the Pittsburgh market and we’re very flattered with the support Carson Street Deli has given us since our launch in June. If you are in the Pittsburgh area, make this a stop for lunch and be sure to grab a local beer along side your favorite Neshaminy Creek draft.
