2016 Punkless Dunkel and Death to False Black IPA Releases
Been a bit behind with updates lately due to some brewery related travel to Washington, so here’s a quick rundown of some stuff coming up.
First off, thanks to everyone that came by this weekend for the bottle release of Half Truth Sour Ale. We’re really excited about this release and are really happy with the results. A lot of our sour and barrel aged program is now coming to fruition, and this release is a part of that. Half Truth spend took 20 months from kettle to bottling and we’re working hard on each release in this program to improve upon the last. Next up will be another dry hopped version of Logic & Reason Saison, this time dry hopped with Citra, and Denali, a new hop we’ve been wanting to use ever since we had a chance to see it on the bine two years ago in Yakima when it was still called 06277.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 7th we’re releasing our Fall seasonal Punkless Dunkel, this year in 16 ounce can 4-packs and cases for the first time ever. 160 cases have been shipped to our wholesale partners in New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania (320 total), so you will start to see them showing up on shelves this week. We only have 80 cases for sale at the brewery, so we’re limiting sales to three 4-packs per customer, $20 each. We open at 4 PM.
This coming Saturday we get back into the Bundesliga action at 9AM followed by the 10AM release of Death to False Black IPA. This 6.3% Black IPA is brewed with 2-Row Barley and Midnight Wheat and is dry hopped with Citra, El Dorado, and Equinox. It’s dank and resinous with notes of grapefruit, stone fruit, and tropical mango inversely paired with a demon-like black hue with garnet highlights. 150 total cases at the brewery, $18/6-pack, $52/case, limit one case per customer.
It’s been a little over four months since our last Dank Hill Wheat DIPA release, so we’ve got another batch of that lined up for our brew kettle today with an expected late-September release.
The next large wholesale shipment of The Shape of Hops to Come is fast approaching and due the first week of October. We’re matching the numbers from our July release and sending 1,600 cases to New Jersey, and Southeastern Pennsylvania. You’ll also see some smaller amounts headed out to Central and Northeastern PA, Pittsburgh, and New York City. After that we’ll release two more case runs here at the brewery in November and December, and then she’s done for 2016.
I think that covers most of it, but I’m sure I’m forgetting something. More bottle and case release info coming soon! Cheers!
