Empire State of Mind
One of the reasons we began our most recently completed expansion was not only to be able to brew and package enough beer for our existing distribution markets, but also with an eye towards moving into new markets not all that far away from our home here in Croydon. One of those markets is NYC and upstate Hudson Valley New York.
Yesterday we signed the paperwork that finalized our deal with Union Beer based out of Brooklyn and Craft Beer Guild based out of New Paltz. We plan to slowly introduce some of our core brands and seasonal offerings to the areas represented in the map in yellow (Union) and orange (Craft Beer Guild) starting in the first quarter of 2016. Again, we are starting off SLOWLY, and don’t plan on getting in to deep so that we can grow our presence in the market organically and in a healthy way as well as continue to maintain growth in existing markets. But, be the lookout for shipments starting sometime in the 1st quarter of 2016, and we’ll let you know when that begins as soon as it does.
A quick note about some existing Pennsylvania markets that you probably haven’t seen our beer in lately….
We’re very thankful that our wholesale partners in Pennsylvania like Ace (York/Lancaster), Nittany Beverage (State College), Mid-State (Williamsport), and LT Verrastro (Old Forge/Scranton) have been patient and understanding about our production difficulties and expansion delays in 2015. We’re excited to report that we’ve now started making shipments to those areas except the York/Lancaster area covered by Ace, which will see a relaunch in February 2016 of select core brands and seasonal offerings.
We also intend to announce addition distributed markets completing our coverage of the entire state of Pennsylvania very shortly.
Cheers to more beer in 2016!
