1st Anniversary Bash – June 9th!
Alright, as long as we make it to June 1st alive, we would have made it through our first year unscathed! To celebrate, we’re going to throw a huge party at the brewery with beer (of course), music, food, and a whole lot of fun. We’ve also teamed up with our new neighbors from Johnny Mac’s Chopper House to help them celebrate their Grand Opening too. Can we get a HELL YEAH!?!
Here’s the crucial info you need…
Sunday, June 9th
Neshaminy Creek Brewing
12 pm to 7 pm
Free to the public and All Ages
Enjoy beer by the pint and pay as you go!
Now, here are the beers we’re going to have on tap:
Bourbon Barrel Aged Leon RIS
Concrete Pillow American Barleywine (Our Anniversary Beer)
Leon Russian Imperial Stout – Only 1 keg on tap
Mudbank Milk Stout – Only 1 keg on tap
County Line IPA
Croydon Cream Ale
We’ve also put together an awesome lineup of bands for your listening pleasure as well. Music starts at 2PM:
The Pietasters – Legendary Washington DC ska and soul!
All Eyes West – Chicago power-rock trio
Ma Jolie – Philly post-punk awesomeness!
Kill Lincoln – High energy punk and ska
To help keep you fed we’ve asked the fine folks from Taco Mondo and Say Cheese food trucks to park their fine wagons on Ray Avenue for some great food all day. Not to be outdone, we’ve lined up some tasty treats from the Bent Spoon who will be providing us with How ‘Bout S’more Leon, their handmade offering of chocolate s’mores ice cream made from our Leon Russian Imperial Stout. They may even have another flavor or two as well!
You may have noticed a new beer listed on our tap list for this event. That beer is Concrete Pillow and is a 10.8% American Barleywine that we’ll have available to help us celebrate this event! We’re only brewing 36 barrels of this beer, and half are going to be aged in once used bourbon barrels for an entire year while the rest will be available in 22 oz. bottles and draft only. This will be a brewery only bottle release and there will only be 600 bottles of Concrete Pillow made available to the public. None will ever be made available via retail distribution, so if you want a bottle, you have to come to the brewery and get one. The remaining amount will be kegged and distributed throughout our current distribution areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
So, this is a ton of information to absorb all at once, and we’ll be posting more details as the event approaches. Spread the word and help us ring in our 1st Anniversary and the end of Philly Beer Week 2013 in style!
