Craft Beer Spotlight: John & Peter’s
Anyone living in the Philadelphia area has made or should make, a trip to the riverside haven known as New Hope, PA. This quintessential tourist destination is home to an eclectic variety of shops, restaurants and, of course, a place to have a drink or two while people watching.
John and Peter’s is a must stop if you’re looking for cold beer and live music. Named “The Best Small Town bar in Pennsylvania” by Thrillist in an early December 2018 article, the bar has a vibe that sets it apart from the rest. Cage the Elephant wrote “Oh there ain’t no rest for the wicked, money don’t grow on trees…” but you can sit down, and enjoy a cheap beer sitting under the trees at the outside bar while talking to the locals.
Kevin Rauch, Mike Wieners and Chris Williams are the new owners as of January 2018. If you’re concerned that the bar has changed and is no longer cool, go listen to some live music! Check out the scheduled events (Open Mike every Monday, The Invitational every Wednesday) or check out the calendar to see which artist is coming up. You may find the next George Thorogood, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Townes Van Zandt playing there.
John and Peter’s serves cold beer in a good dive bar type of atmosphere, with a regular line up of Neshaminy Creek beers.
