Craft Beer Spotlight: The Thirsty Quaker

The Thirsty Quaker is Hudson County’s go-to craft beer and artisanal spirits shop, as well as the only homebrew supply shop in the area. Located in the Hamilton Park neighborhood of Jersey City, this is the premier “grab & go” spot packed with hundreds of options.

The store is fully stocked with homebrew supplies such as ingredients, equipment, and even books. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always ready to help the novice customer with questions or the experienced brewer who just wants to chat about their latest IPA. They are even holding brewing classes at a local cooking spaced called Hudson Table.

Besides having a kick-ass beer selection, The Thirsty Quaker is one of the only spots in the area that offer a delivery service on beer, wine, and spirits. This is great for those times when you need a beer, but the couch is so. damn. comfortable. Also, visitors will be happy to know there is a huge parking lot that makes packing up cases of beer a piece of cake.

Stop by on Thursday night between 6 and 8pm for a craft beer tasting from various local and national craft breweries.

On March 15th, Neshaminy Creek will be the featured brewery hosting the tasting event. Hope to see you there!
