Craft Beer Spotlight: Capone’s Restaurant
There are some people, places or things that are recognizable by a single word… Eagles, Netflix, Xerox, Capone’s.
Capone’s Restaurant has been a Norristown mainstay for about 40 years. You can find a variety of foods ranging from typical bar fare to hot and cold sandwiches, salads, burgers and steaks available to keep the intestines happy.
If you’re into beer, you’ve probably heard about Capone’s Bottle Shop from one of your beer friends. Well known for having hard to get beers, it is a pilgrimage the craft beer crowd makes for those delicious beers.
I met Matt about 15 years ago when I stopped into the bottle shop for a look around. The smallish shop has a surprising selection of beers for every palate. You can find the usual options, but also selections from local breweries that you may not have heard of yet.
Get on their mailing list to find out about new beer deliveries and the upcoming events. I would strongly suggest going to their Black Friday Event. The line starts early but get there and make new friends.
Tell Matt the guys from Neshaminy Creek sent you. Capone’s Restaurant is located at 224 West Germantown Pike in Norristown.
